How is it calculated?
How is LDM calculated?
LDM = Length (m) × Width (m) ÷ 2.40, where 2.40 m is the standard trailer inner width. A Euro pallet (120×80) is 0.40 LDM, an industrial pallet (120×100) 0.50 LDM.
LDM for stackable cargo?
Stacked pallets do not use extra floor: floor positions = quantity ÷ layers (rounded up). Stack height should not exceed 270 cm.
Chargeable weight in groupage?
The greatest of gross weight, m³ × 333 kg and LDM × 1,750 kg is charged. A standard trailer offers 13.6 LDM and ~24 t.
